OutsideBy Damien Balderrama When I am alone with you I often wonder, how you could possibly know.
Who taught you how, how to be everywhere yet nowhere?
How is it that without a brain to think, you know what every man longs to learn?
How do your blind eyes feel through the darkness in the light of day?
How can your breath carry the light of life through the many hues of the night?
How can we learn to be as you are, to live in unison as intended?
To feed and be fed the lessons of the wind.
Help me to see the structure of myself in you, and yours in me.
Within the brilliant splendors you yield as gifts, lie the lessons you have to teach.
Inside the purity of your divine carnage, lie the lessons we must learn.
For this is merely a prerequisite to becoming.
In search of your sermon, I walk through the revolving door.
Therefore, we together can live OUTSIDE. © 2010, Damien Balderrama. All rights reserved |
