Allou Guthmiller
I have been around the Mulberry bush, indeed.I grew up in South Dakota, became a Registered Nurse and traveled to Europe where I stayed for 8 years. I was a shy young lady and lacked confidence in myself - yet in the process of working half the year as a nurse and the other half year traveling, doing one month in each country in Europe, six months in Africa, and finally seven months traveling through the Far East. I developed confidence in my ability to manage and overcoming my withdrawn nature.I discovered the beauty of writing while taking care of a 94-year-old aristocratic lady in London.I would read to her every day and at one time, she ran seven newspapers during war time. Her best and finest relationship occurred when she turned 75 years old and lasted for 10 years.“You are never to old for anything” she said. I realized during this time, when I wrote it gave me great clarity, joy in expressing succinctly and being able to see the power of the written word. My love of writing was born. The cosmic joke is that my grammar and spelling is so poor, but I have not let that handicap stop me.

After Europe I came back and settled in Washington DC and became a single parent.Raising a child consciously and balancing taking good care of myself was the key for successful living I discovered.I did a lot of self-exploration dropping all the should’s and have to’s in my life.I began to follow my own interests in healing others and developing more tolerance and kindness towards myself. Being German and a serious female, I ended up studying Therapeutic Play and Humor that lead me into becoming a white face clown.I then would educate the public about the value of humor and play, leading seminars and over came the fear of public speaking this way. Meanwhile, each day even if it was only for 10 min. - I would write. Being a working mom, it was a way to nourish me on the inside by each day doing something that inspired me. I was happier and better able to care for my son. Writing brought contemplation, integration,  and ownership of the beauty of life around me.I began doing retreats in helping people find their life passion also.I guess I have spent at least a good $80,000 on inspiration and healing in reaching full potential over the years in the process of Self-discovery. I published An Effective Living Series for the McGraw-Hill Associate Degree Curriculum.I am also published in the American Holistic Medical Journal.

The last five years I traveled with The Reconnection, teaching worldwide from New Zealand to South Africa.London to Turkey and around the world meeting some of the most extraordinary people on the planet, all working on becoming - Be the change you seek in the world.I lived in Hawaii for a year and half where I published my first book Healing Nuggets for Success and Support and created a CD called The Healing Power of Money.

Last year, I moved to Redding and work part time in theER at Mercy Medical Hospital.I am a very creative soul and find that when I give myself permission to express all aspects of myself, I expand in love, abundance, and success while inspiring those around me to do the same.I am currently working on Healing Nuggets for the Soul and leading Soulful Retreats to jump start a life ready for change - Access more joy and purpose for being which is an unique journey for each person.
